Part One Chapter 4 (Page 19)

Magnetizing the physical body through Energization Exercises

Energization exercises are a sequence of tensing and relaxing the muscle groups of the body coordinated with breathing and visualization.  Similar to isometrics they also give many of the same benefits: Increased energy, an increase in muscle tone, an increase in peripheral circulation and improvement to blood pressure level, and an aid to relaxation due to a release of excess tension.

The energization exercise routine is an excellent way to prepare both the body and the mind for visualization and meditation. Continued daily practice of the energization exercises over time will actually begin to help us gain control of the energy flow, the flow of prana in our body.

To perform the energization exercises, stand with your arms at your sides and your feet apart. Hold each tension sequence for 3-5 seconds and then relax for the same amount of time.   Tense as powerfully as you can without hurting yourself, at the same time inhale, imagine energy entering in through the back of your head near the base of the skull and traveling to the area being tensed, the area being tensed should begin to vibrate.  When you let go of the tension, exhale, relax the area and then feel the sensation that is left over.
